The group is committed to achieve the following aims and objectives:
- Mobilise (bring together) young people from Bongo living at home, in the cities or abroad.
- Establish a platform to share ideas/opportunities toward personal and/or group development
- Invest as a group for the benefit of each member and the Bongo community in general
- Ensure proper education or job training of members of the group and youth in Bongo by encouraging/advocating responsible parenting, sponsorship, donations, etc.
- Check the problem of unnecessary migration of youth of Bongo to the cities
- Undertake self-help/communal labour toward raising living standards of people in Bongo’s communities.
- Encourage good lifestyles in Bongo youth through planned counselling and motivation
- Sensitise members or the youth on HIV/AIDS and other Sexual Transmitted Infections (STIs)
- Promote environmental conservation through campaigns and active participation
- Assist in or solicit for infrastructural development projects in Bongo by liaising with government/development agencies and by the union’s sponsorship
- Create or solicit for the creation of employment opportunities by government, NGOs, individuals and other supporting agencies
- Other essential objectives as may be developed.
